While I was in WSG I move the map up here in the corner by the compass and didnt close it. It surprised me by staying there. Now I often have a minimap that shows the terrain in whatever zone I'm in. It doesnt always show the map but is useful when it does. You can see my lil arrow which is me flying from the Consortium guy in Nagrand towards Halaa going to Garadar.

Guild Rules

Guild chat is not a marketplace. If you have something to sell maybe ask via tells but please don't sell your loot over guild chat. If you have something to give away it's ok to post it on guild chat to see if someone wants it.

Please do not spam guild chat. If you are angry or want to be annoying please take it to whispers. (looks at Icy, Hunter, Mightyelf)

Please keep opinions about politics and religion off chat.

No little brothers allowed (little sisters are ok).

Please limit your cursing because young people play this game. The same with unsavory subjects.

Please do not bash/harass toons for race, sex (male or female), ethnics, color, sexuality.

We have active teams for the Arena but the spots are limited to twice the size of the arena team. You may want to create your own arena team with members in and out of the guild so that you get decent access to arena gear.

If you have a dispute with a guild member please contact a War Chief who will sort out the problem and take appropriate measures. Their decisions are final.

Please do not beg for gold, items, instance runs. Of course you can ask for help but not repeatedly in a short time period.

A note about looting: It is typical that everyone roll greed for green (uncommon) items. Should a blue (rare) item (or higher) fall it's ok to roll need if you can use the item. It is not acceptible that you roll need on a blue item (or higher) that you cannot as a race/class use.

Lately we have had a lot of people who join the guild and immediately expect us to drop everything to come help them. That isnt what we mean. We expect you to want to level your own character. You do the quests. You build up your profession. You learn your skills. We expect you to find people in your level set (in the guild if possible and out of the guild if not) to group with to get things done. Then if you can't get a quest done ask for help and we will gladly help you.

We expect you to earn your own gold. Vendor sell, auction, use your professions, however you need to get it. We all started from scratch and gold is a limited commodity in WoW.

For promotions we are a guild that helps others. When I see you helping a guildie or even sometimes a non guildie it sticks with me and when it's promotion time I'm more apt to promote the ones I see helping.

Our current members are older and mostly wiser players. We tend to solo a lot and then get together to have some fun, do an instance, get some quests done, then we go solo some more. After you collect all three fragments you must complete the Opening the Dark Portal (Escape from Durnholde must be completed first in order to be able to enter the Opening the Dark Portal) inside the Caverns of Time to have Medivh complete the key.

Questline:

Starts just outside Karazhan -

Restless Activity

Arcane Disturbances

Arcane Feedback

Contact from Dalaran

Khadgar

Entry Into Karazhan

The Second and Third Fragments

The Master's Touch

Return to Khadgar (The Master's Key is rewarded)

The Black Morass quest line:

The Caverns of Time

Old Hillsbrad

Taretha's Diversion

Escape from Durnholde

Return to Andormu

The Black Morass

The Opening of the Dark Portal

Mount Hyjal Quest Line

(25-man raid in Caverns of Time)

This dungeon requires many pre-requisites:

1. You must be level 70

2. Complete Caverns of Time: Durnholde (Old Hillsbrad) and Complete Caverns of Time: Dark Portal (Black Morass).

3. Talk to Soridormi (Adult) - the consort of Nozdormu. You may find her roaming around the clockwork in Caverns of Time. She will give you a quest titled: The Vials of Eternity. However, this is no 1-2-3 immediate quest. To acquire the two vials of eternity requires the completition of many quest chains that will take months to accomplish and good gear.

4. You must complete the Cipher of Damnation quest chain in Shadowmoon Valley and the Stormspire quests in Netherstorm. The Stormspire quest chain starts in Area 52 with the Consortium Ethereal. The chain ends when Nexus-Prince Harammad sends you to A'dal with a crystal. Maybe you should have talked to Akama at the Warden's Cage in Shadowmoon Valley.

5. A'dal will give you the Arcatraz Key quest: The crystal key is divided in two halves. The first half is held by the last boss of Tempest Keep: Botanica - Splintertree. The second half is held by the last boss of Tempest Keep: Mechanar.

Once you assemble the Arcatraz Key and have completed the two quest chains: Stormspire and Cipher of Damnation -- Khadgar will talk to you, asking you to talk to A'dal. A'dal will give you the Kael'Thas dungeon key chain quest. The key is named Tempest Key - for the final showdown with Prince Kael'Thas Sunstrider.

6. Brace yourself - - you need to be revered with the Sha'tar Reputation faction to obtain the Tempest Keep Heroic-Dungeon key, Revered with the Lower City to obtain the Auchenai Key to unlock the Auchindoun Dungeons in Heroic-mode, Revered with the Cenarion Expedition to unlock the Heroic-mode for Coilfang Reservoir dungeons, and Revered with Thrallmar/Honor Hold to unlock the Heroic-mode Difficulty for Hellfire Citadel dungeons. Hope you have had fun reading this far.

7. Complete Trial of the Naaru: Mercy; Trial of the Naaru: Strength; and Trial of the Naaru: Tenacity. No easy task ... for you have to complete the three trials in Heroic-mode. Trash mobs hit for 15,000 non-crit damage, no less. You have to kill Murmur in Auchindoun: Shadow Labyrinth, retrieve an unused Axe of the Executioner from Hellfire Citadel: Shattered Halls, Kalithresh's Trident in Coilfang Reservoir: Steamvaults, and to rescue Millhouse Manastorm (gnome) after killing the last boss of Tempest Keep: Arcatraz. Once you have completed those four dungeons in Heroic-mode, return to A'dal and he will give you the last trial where you have to kill Magtheridon, upon completing this last trial he will grant you the Tempest Key to enter Prince Kael'Thas dungeon -- which requires 25 players. Kill Kael'Thas and loot his Vial of Eternity.

8. Now you need to kill Lady Vashj and loot her Vial of Eternity.

9. By now you should be Friendly with the Scales of the Sands faction.

10. Now you can enter Caverns of Time: Mount Hyjal In this dungeon you go back in time 4 years into the past to fight alongside Malfurion Stormrage, Tyrande Whisperwind, Thrall, and Jaina Proudmoore against Archimonde and the Burning Legion. Your mission is to stop the Infinity Dragonflight from altering time.

Smothered Pork Chops

Smothered Pork Chops

Ingredients needed:

8 thinly cut (about 1/2 inch thick) pork chops (about 3 pounds total)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 cups thinly sliced onions
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
4 bay leaves
Two 14 1/2-ounce cans low-sodium chicken broth or 3 1/2 cans of chicken stock
1 1/2 cans water (measured in the chicken broth cans)
1 pound smoked sausage or andouille cut crosswise into 1-inch slices
1 pound russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
steamed white rice or rice pilaf

Season both sides of the chops with salt and pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven over high heat.

If you think you'd like to join us great.

If you just wanna mooch go somewhere else.

Guest Passes

I have a few guest passes that someone might be able to use in a pinch. You can also use it to schedule quests or arena matches or personal use.

The addon can be found at:
http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/details/1958/groupcalendar/

This addon takes the place of your sun on the mini map in showing you the time and date.

I've created an open chat channel named SIGNI to use for this purpose. This is the lowest level beast available with a 1.2 attack speed.

Snort the Heckler, level 17 (elite) hyena in the Barrens. Snort has an unusual purple color, and is reported to have higher than average stats (other than stamina) for hyenas of his level.

Takk the Leaper, level 19 (elite) raptor in the Barrens. Takk used to have a faster than average pursuit speed, but this was removed recently. He's now an ordinary raptor, but he does have an interesting color.

Mist Howler, level 22 wolf in Ashenvale. Mist Howler has a high attack speed of 1.3.

Humar the Pridelord, level 23 (elite) lion in the Barrens. Humar is popular for its 1.3 attack speed as well as its unique black coloring.

Lupos, level 23 (elite) wolf in Duskwood. Lupos is lovely white wolf/worg who used to inflict shadow damage when he attacked. This has recently been changed, so now he is an ordinary white worg.

Broken Tooth, level 37 (elite) cat in the Badlands. Broken Tooth has a 1.0 attack speed, the fastest of any pet, making him one of the most prized and popular pets in WoW.

King Bangalash, level 43 tiger in Stranglethorn Vale. King B used to retain his super fast running speed when tamed, but this has recently been standardized, so he's now the same as any other 1.4 cat. He's still a popular choice, however, for his unique white color.

Deathmaw, level 53 wolf in Burning Steppes. Deathmaw has a 1.2 attack speed, the fastest of any wolf.

Frostsaber Pridewatcher, Huntress, Stalker, level 58-60 tigers in Winterspring. The Pridewatchers are the pale purple and white striped tigers, and the Stalkers and Huntresses are pure white, like the epic Frostsaber mount. These cats have no special abilities, they just look cool.

Sian-Rotam, level 60 cat in Winterspring. It is by no means the way to go if you want to maximize your experience in the game as this method will bypass almost all the content in the game and essentially ignore many of the fun, unique aspects of WoW. This is not recommended for new players and is meant for players who already have experienced the content and just want to level up an alt to play with their level 60 friends (ie. your level 60 instance group needs a priest and there are no priests to be had). As a benchmark to how successful you are with this, download cosmos (Cosmos) and use the clock feature to measure your xp/hour. At level 50 you should be getting about 40,000+/hour. 1-20: Newbie lands, stick to the friendly zones (not contested). Just grind. The quests are a waste of time up to level 20 if you are focusing on maxing out xp per hour. 20-26: Wetlands quests and raptors/slime/orcs for grinding. Redridge mountain Lakeshire quests.

26-30: Duskwood quests and undead for grinding. Hillsbrad critter roamers for grinding.

30-35: Did these all in a day on Daggerspines in Hillsbrad right next to Southshore along the coast. Huge spawn, very fast respawn rate, easy mobs to kill. Purgation isle (island in the very far Southwest water area of Hillsbrad) also a nice secluded place you can grind on undead.

36-40: Hillsbrad southshore quests. Desolace quests and kodo grinding for 36-38, then Undead Ravagers in the southeast for 38-40. Cresting exiles at the circle of outer binding in Arathi also for 37-41; extremely easy mobs with a fast respawn. Alterac ogres from 35-40 for grinding. Drywhisker kobolds in Arathi east of Hammerfall for 36-39 for grinding.

41-45: Hinterlands trolls, owl beasts, and wolves for grinding and quests. Badlands ogres, gnolls, and quests.

45-48: Tanaris quests and pirates on the eastern paninsula for grinding. Stranglethorn vale quests (only if you need rewards imo). Badlands greater elementals for grinding.

48-52: Felwood deadwood gnolls for grinding and quests from the sanctuary in the south. Blasted lands dreadmauls for grinding. Un'goro crater (best started at 50) for primarily quests and grinding off the plants and tar elementals. Azshara undead highbornes and thunderhead hyppogriffs for grinding.

52-55: Azshara blood elves for grinding. Burning steppes dreadmaul rock ogre caves firegut ogres (very low AC) for grinding. Felwood irontree woods and cave for grinding (great spot). Western plaguelands questing for argent dawn and grinding on undead throughout the various camps.

55-58: Eastern plaguelands quests from the sanctuary, grinding on undead at the ruined towns. Winterspring grinding at winterfall village or Lake Kel'Theril undead highbornes (my personal favorite camp). Blackrock Stronghold in Burning Steppes for grinding.

58-60: "The" yeti cave in Winterspring, due Southeast of Everlook (very nice place). Grosh Gok compound ogres in Deadwind pass (great spot, no one knows about it). Eastern plaguelands Fungal Vale undead grinding and argent dawn token farming. Moonowls in northeast winterspring for grinding.

Basic Grind List

Most of these have been confirmed to be good, but in order to prevent overcrowding in areas I will try to list several different places, all of which should be pretty decent. More often than not, the areas will only hold one or two people maximum as far as spawn rates go - any more than that and you have too many people and too little mobs to support them. Unfortunately, because of this, you might end up somewhere that isn't quite as good as you might've hoped, and if that's the case, I apologize in advance.

The levels are approximate, you may or may not have to supplement grinding for one or two levels in order to move onto the next zones early on, although most of the later parts deal mostly with areas to grind in. Also, when a level is listed next to a grind area, that means this is the level at which you can more than likely *start* grinding the mobs. You can probably *stop* grinding them about 4-5 levels past where the start level is. In fact, it's probably recommended that you do stop 4 levels past them.

Also, keep in mind that this is mostly for Alliance players, as it's the only faction I've played and thus have no experience with Horde lands. You'll also note the lack of Kalimdor lands up until Feralas/Tanaris. While I'm not saying Ashenvale, Stonetalon Mountains, Thousand Needles or Desolace are bad places, I honestly have no experience with them either, and these areas that I do list are typically sufficient to take you up in levels.

Please note that the level listed beside a place, if there is one, is the level recommended to *begin* the place. Each place should typically be able to last you for 4-5 levels (with the exception of quest areas), whether you have the patience to stay at that one place for that long is another thing.

Thanks to everyone that has contributed and added to the list!

Level 1-12:

- Newbie Zone :: You may have to leave at level 11.

Level 12-20:

- Westfall [Sentinel Hill, Westfall Lighthouse]
- Loch Modan [Thelsamar, Farstrider's Lodge, Stonewrought Dam]
- Darkshore [Auberdine]
- Elite Area: Mo'grosh mound (Loch Modan)
- Instance: Deadmines

Complete the easiest quests in the first area that you go to (Night Elves should visit Darkshore first, Dwarves/Gnomes should visit Loch Modan first, Humans should visit Westfall first.) Move onto the next zone, and do the same, but this time you can complete more of the zone. Leave the most difficult, unless you can get a group for them - don't waste too much time on it, though. Move onto the last zone and complete all, or nearly all of the quests available in that zone. By this time, you should be about level 17-18. Go back to the first zone, and complete the rest of the quests there.

Typically, my "first zone" is Westfall, in which case you can go back when you are done with both Loch Modan and Darkshore, and finish the Van Cleef line of quests and be at a good level to run the instance.

Level 20-22:

- Redridge Mountains [Lakeshire, Tower of Azora in Elwynn]

Again, do the easy quests in Redridge, which should take you up to level 21 or 22. Skip the more difficult quests unless you have a group for them. I'd skip the entire Stonewatch Keep area of quests just simply because that entire area itself is crap.

Level 22-30:

- Redridge Mountains [Lakeshire, Tower of Azora in Elwynn]
- Duskwood [Darkshire, Sven's Camp, Abercrombie]
- Wetlands [Menethil Harbor, Greenwarden, N. Loch Modan (The Algaz Gauntlet)]
- Ashenvale [Astranaar ?]
- Stonetalon Mountains [?]
- Elite Area: Dun Modr (Wetlands)
- Instance: The Stockades
- Instance: Shadowfang Keep
- Instance: Blackfathom Deeps
- Happy Loot: Naraxis' Fang (Duskwood)
- Happy Loot: Tiny Crimson Whelpling (Wetlands)
- Grind Area [26]: Dragonmaw Encampment (Wetlands)
- Grind Area [26]: Whelgar's Excavation Site (Wetlands)
- Grind Area [28]: Rotting Orchard (Duskwood)
- Grind Area [28]: Raven Hill Cemetary (Duskwood)
- Grind Area [29]: Vul'Gol Ogre Mound (Duskwood)

Preparation: Purchase Bronze Tube.

Start at either Duskwood or Wetlands. This is where "quest stacking" can come in really handy if you want to be efficient. There are many, many quests that send you to the same areas, and if you get all of the quests at once, you can knock all of them out without having to run back and forth. Considering Wetlands and Duskwood are fairly bad for having their towns on one side of the map and the quest mobs/areas on the other side, this saves a lot of time. A lot of these are parts of quest chains, so honestly it's hard to know if you don't have prior knowledge or do a lot of quest research beforehand - so don't worry about it too much, but try to be as efficient as you can. Once you finish one of the two new areas, you should be about level 25 and can go finish the harder parts of Redridge, and then finish the last zone.

Note for Stockades : There are 6 quests you can obtain for this instance. Lakeshire, Darkshire, Wetlands, Van Cleef note continuation (Bazil Thredd), and two from Stormwind.

Level 31-37:

- Stranglethorn Vale [Rebel Camp, Nesingwary's Expedition, Booty Bay]
- Hillsbrad Foothills [Southshore]
- Arathi Highlands [Refuge Pointe]
- Desolace [32]
- Thousand Needles [31]
- Instance: Gnomeregan
- Happy Loot: Howling Blade (Skhowl, Alterac Mountains)
- Happy Loot: Toxic Revenger (Gnomeregan)
- Happy Loot: Tiny Emerald Whelpling (Swamp of Sorrows)
- Grind Area [31]: Kurzen Encampment (Stranglethorn Vale)
- Grind Area [33]: Stranglethorn Raptors (Stranglethorn Vale)
- Grind Area [33]: Growless Cave (Alterac Mountains)
- Grind Area [34]: Gallow's Corner (Crushridge Ogres - Altarac Mountains)
- Grind Area [34]: Witherbark Village (Arathi Mountains)
- Grind Area [36]: Venture Co. Base Camp (Lake Nazferiti - Stranglethorn Vale)

Preparation: Purchase all 15 pages of The Green Hills of Stranglethorn, 4 Bloodstone Ore.

Start at Stranglethorn Vale. Quest stacking here is also godly, since you don't want to have to run all the way to the northern end of the zone, do one or two quests and turn them back in at Booty Bay. Rebel Camp's quests are largely independent of the rest, though, so you can do those first. Then, head to Booty Bay, where you can pick up two main quests for the northern area: Investigate the Camp and the start of the Excelsior chain, both of which takes you to Nesingwary's Expedition, where you obtain all of the nice happy quests there.

Hillsbrad is only good starting at about level 33, at which point you can actually *do* all of the quests that you could obtain at level 30... Arathi only has one or two quests that you can actually do right now, but it's listed anyways.

Kurzen Cave has been fixed, which perhaps means that Jungle Fighters and Headshrinkers have as well, so someone test that out please.

Level 37-43:

- Stranglethorn Vale [Booty Bay, Nesingwary's Expedition, Rebel Camp]
- Arathi Mountains [Refuge Pointe, Faldir's Cove]
- Badlands [Various camps around the zone]
- Desolace [37]
- Elite Area: Stromgarde
- Elite Area: Mosh'ogg Mound
- Instance: Scarlet Monastery
- Instance: Uldaman
- Instance: Razorfen Downs
- Happy Loot: Tiny Black Whelpling (Badlands)
- Grind Area [37]: Lashtail Raptors (Stranglethorn Vale)
- Grind Area [37]: Water Elementals (Stranglethorn Vale)
- Grind Area [39]: The spider cave north of Brackenwall (Dustwallow Marsh)
- Grind Area [39]: Rock Elementals (Badlands)
- Grind Area [39]: Elder Crag Coyotes (Badlands)
- Grind Area [41]: Scalding Whelps (Badlands)
- Grind Area [41]: Agmond's End (Badlands)
- Grind Area [41]: Ziata'jai Ruins (Venture Co. Stuff, Stranglethorn Vale)
- Grind Area [43]: Naga Explorers (Stranglethorn Vale)
- Grind Area [4X]: Grimtotem Compound (Feralas - Low 40s, not absolutely sure)

Preparation: Purchase 9 Blue Pearls, 1 Frost Oil, 1 Gyrochronatom, 4 Buzzard Wings, 1 Elixir of Water Breathing.

37 is where you obtain your next batch of quests from Stranglethorn Vale. Arathi Highlands has fairly decent quests in Faldir's Cove, or if you're feeling group-friendly, knock out the ones in Stromgarde. Badlands has a lot of nice quests, but you have to actually find them. This is where supplementing experience by grinding becomes more efficient at times, and at 42-43 you should be closing the last of your Stranglethorn quests, and be finished with Badlands and Arathi both, as well.

Scarlet Monastery. Black Menace or Sword of Serenity. Nothing more needs to be said - except where to obtain the quest: Desolace.

Level 43-46:

- Feralas [Feathermoon Stronghold]
- Tanaris [Gadgetzan, Steamwheedle Port]
- Instance: Zul'Farrak
- Grind Area [43]: Wastewander Bandits (Tanaris)
- Grind Area [44]: Isle of Dread (Feralas - Inside Cave; South of Feathermoon Stronghold)
- Grind Area [45]: Feral Scar Vale (Feralas)
- Happy Loot: 14slot bag! Cortello's Riddle quest, starts in one of the ships in Stranglethorn Vale for the end of the Bloodsail Buccaneers line of quests.

Fairly self explanatory, I guess. Not much going on here, really.

Level 46-50:

- Tanaris [Gadgetzan, Steamwheedle Port]
- The Hinterlands [Aerie Peak]
- Instance: Zul'Farrak
- Instance: Maraudon [49]
- Instance: Temple of Atal'Hakkar [50]
- Grind Area [47]: Undead in Western Ashzara (Azshara)
- Grind Area [47]: Dunemaul Compound (Tanaris)
- Grind Area [47]: Elementals/Golems around The Cauldron + N of it (Searing Gorge) - Elemental Leatherworking Supplies

At this point, you more than likely have a bunch of quests saved up for The Hinterlands - including but not limited to, the quest to gather Wildkin Feathers (from Rutheran Village), the quest to obtain a snapshot of Gammerita, the quest to obtain Violet Trajan, the last part of Cortello's Riddle, etc. Feel free to knock them all out at once.

Level 50-55:

- Searing Gorge [Kalaran Windblade]
- Blasted Lands [Blood Elf camp]
- Un'Goro Crater [Marshal's Refuge]
- Felwood [Emerald Sanctuary]
- Burning Steppes [Morgan's Vigil]
- Instance: Temple of Atal'Hakkar
- Grind Area [50]: Deadwood Village (Felwood)
- Grind Area [51]: Ruins of Eldarath (Azshara)
- Grind Area [52]: Dreadmaul Rock (Firegut Ogres - Burning Steppes)
- Grind Area [52]: Legash Encampment, Thalassian Base Camp, Ursolan (Azshara)
- Grind Area [52]: Jaedenar (Felwood)
- Grind Area [52]: Sorrow Hill (Western Plaguelands)
- Grind Area [53]: Ironwood Trees in northern Felwood
- Grind Area [54]: Temple of Arkkoran (Azshara)
- Grind Area [55]: Jadefire Run, Felpaw Village (Felwood)

The quests in Blasted Lands all stack on top of each other. Five in total, one for each stat; they give 4700 experience per turn-in, along with always the chance of obtaining a Draenethyst Sphere for Kumi'sha the Collector with every mob you kill. Un'Goro Crater has the biggest collection of quests out of all of these zones.

Level 55-60:

- Winterspring [Everlook, Starfall Village]
- Western Plaguelands [Chillwind Point]
- Eastern Plaguelands [Light's Hope Chapel]
- Instance: Blackrock Depths
- Instance: Blackrock Spire [60]
- Instance: Stratholme [60]
- Instance: Scholomance [60]
- Grind Area [55]: Felstone Field, Dalson's Tears, The Writhing Haunt, Gahrron's Withering (Western Plaguelands)
- Grind Area [56]: Northridge Lumber Camp (Western Plaguelands)
- Grind Area [56]: Corin's Crossing (Eastern Plaguelands)
- Grind Area [56]: The Pillar of Ash (Burning Steppes)
- Grind Area [56]: Winterfall Village (Winterspring)
- Grind Area [57]: Blackrock Stronghold (Burning Steppes) [NOTE]
- Grind Area [57]: Ice Thistle Hills (Wintespring) - Rugged Leathers

Notes: Blackrock Stronghold is probably the best place to grind for a rogue; however, you do have to get used to how the roamers work. You'll probably die a few times along the way while learning them. Also, this might likely be another area where they're increasing the armor on the mobs, but two of the four kinds of orcs that spawn are casters, anyway. Ice Thistle Hills is not the best place to grind for experience, but it's probably one of the better places to get a nice quiet grind going and also leave with a few backpacks full of Rugged Leather.

Okay -- So this isn't really a "complete" grind area list, because honestly, you only have to sit down and grind at one or two places for a few levels before you can move onto the next tier of zones, and that's typically what I did. Just sit down and grind at one place, don't move around everywhere and you'll be out of there in a few hours or days. I've tried my best to list the best quest areas and zones as well for those that would rather try to quest and not grind their way through the game, too, but that's also somewhat incomplete, especially at later stages since I don't have much knowledge of the various new quests they implemented in Winterspring and the Plaguelands.

Anyway, hope it helps to answer some of the "where can I go at level X?" questions.

The promised Horde section.

Implemented from various posts by Horde players that have contributed. Some of these spots were also taken from Ratama of Nurfed.

14-16: Pirates south of Ratchet (Barrens)
16-19: Various wildlife, especially cats, in Barrens. Note that if you're using a dagger crit build, then exp for this is insane.
19-22: Bramblescar (Barrens) on lizards and quillboars. Unless you're doing leatherworking, just leave the lizards alone.
22-24: Tarren Mill (Hillsbrad) on bears and spiders. Dagger crit chain heaven.
24-26: Across the road from Tarren Mill on tougher bears and cats. Dagger crit chain heaven.
26-28: Spiders/Bears in back of Syndicate tower (Hillsbrad)
28-30: Cats and Spiders around Nethander Stead (Hillsbrad)
30-32: Harpies inside cave (Thousand Needles)

NE of Brackenwall (2 min run there)- Raptor den
36-37 raptors there - lots of them

40-42 Skeletons in Desolace. They're about the only squishies I could find to grind on. It's part of an Alliance quest, so the usual PvP warnings apply.

42-45 Jungle Stalkers in SV. The loot drop isn't nearly as good as the Lashtails, but they're as squishy as ever. Also, they don't seem to have the knockdown attack that the lashtails do. Virtually no one kills these guys on my server, and they're easily chainable.

Shopping List

Below I have listed some rare items you should have on your ShoppingList. Usually you don’t want to buy rare blue or purple items just to resell them because AH listing fees for these items are expensive and selling them for a good price may be hard. These items are an exception because should be a high demand for these items on just about any server.

These are the high demand rare items you want to have on your ShoppingList:

Elemental Attuned Blade (worth hundreds of gold)
Antenna of Invigoration (worth hundreds of gold)
Pendulum of Doom
Assassin’s Blade
Shadowfang
Miner’s Hat of the Deep
Expert Goldminer’s Helmet
Shovelphlange’s Mining Axe
The Jackhammer
Unearthed Bands of Agility, Power, Money, etc..
Petrospill Leggings
Mantle of Thieves
Flintrock Shoulders
Wolfclaw Gloves
Hotshot Pilot’s Gloves
Mechbuilder’s Overalls
Maiden’s Circle

AHN'QIRA instance only (or AH maybe): These are some “learning materials” which level 60 players can use to gain new spells and abilities. These only drop in the Ahn’Qiraj instance and can be worth hundreds of gold. Books dropping in easier instances usually sell for much less.

Grimoire of Shadow Bolt X
Grimoire of Immolate VIII
Grimoire of Corruption VII
Manual of Revenge VI
Manual of Heroic Strike IX
Manual of Battle Shout VII
Tome of Arcane Missiles VIII
Tome of Frostbolt XI
Tome of Fireball XII
Guide: Serpent Sting IX
Guide: Multi-Shot V
Guide: Aspect of the Hawk VII
Book of Healing Touch XI
Book of Rejuvenation XI
Book of Starfire VII
Codex of Prayer of Healing V
Codex of Renew X
Libram: Blessing of Wisdom VI
Libram: Holy Light IX
Libram: Blessing of Might VII
Handbook of Feint V
Handbook of Deadly Poison V
Handbook of Backstab IX

Of course the good buying price for these items varies item by item and server by server so you shouldn’t rush to buy any of them on the first sight. Listing fees for these items are high so you don’t want to relist them multiple times at a too expensive price. As a rule of thumb, if you can get any of these items for something like 30 gold, it should be a good price.

Gold Farming Guide

This is a listing of 18 major gold farming locations in World of Warcraft. The listing is pretty much biased towards higher level zones simply because farming gold with a low level character isn’t very smart at all. It’s much faster to level up your character to level 60 on some crappy equipment and then start earning gold for all the stuff you want to buy.

Hopefully competition for these farming spots doesn’t increase too much after I publish this guide.

Happy farming!

SHADOWFANG KEEP
Level to Solo high 30's

WESTFALL
*********

Defias Trappers
(31,33)

In the Western shore of Westfall there is a small outpost that’s full of level 12-13 Defias Trappers. This is a great farming spot for low level and even high level players because these Trappers respawn super fast. These Trappers have a 35% drop rate for Linen Cloth so higher level can fill their backbag with Linen Cloth very quickly while lower level
players can use this spot to grind for experience.

STRANGLETHORN VALE
*******************

Crystalvein Mine
(44,45)

Crystalvein Mine is a cave to the East from Gurubashi Arena. Inside the cave you’ll find a lot of Ironjaw Basiliks which are level 43-44 mobs. You’ll be able to earn nice gold by selling all the vendor trash items these guys drop and grinding the corpses for Thick Leather and Heavy Leather.

AZSHARA
********

Highbornes
(16,70)

Shadowsong Shire is on the left side of the road when you enter Azshara from Ashenvale. You’ll find some level 44-47 Highborne ghosts in there. They’re weak caster units so you’ll be able to farm them with ease for tons of mageweave, green drops and random chests.

TANARIS
*******

Southsea Pirates
(72,44)

There is a Southsea pirate town in Eastern Tanaris. The place is called Lost Rigger Cove and you can get there by going throught a tunnel. The place is full of level 43-45 pirates who should be very easy to farm on high levels. These guys drop some nice silver, Mageweave and Silk Cloth and also have a good drop rates for blue/purple items for such a low level mob which makes grinding them worthwhile.

UN’GORO CRATER
**************

Devilsaurs

Overall Un’Goro Crater is a great zone for skinners as there are so many kinds of skinnable mobs. It’s even better if you can kill Devilsaurs (level 52-55 elites) which can be skinned for Devilsaur Leather (Can sell for 50 gold per stack). Devilsaurs patrol
6 different paths around Un’Goro and respawn relatively quickly which means that you can basically do circles around the crater killing Devilsaurs non-stop. Soloing Devilsaurs and Ironhide Devilsaurs shouldn’t be too hard on level 60. I’d recommend avoiding Tyrant Devilsaurs though because they have a nasty Fear ability.

WINTERSPRING
************

Ice Thistle Yetis
(67,40)

These guys are great for skinners. Not only do they drop nice vendor trash items, green items and sometimes blue/epics buy you can also skin them for Rugged Leather and Thick Leather which makes farming them greatly worthwhile. You’ll find tons of Ice Thistle Yetis from a large area North and East from Everlook.

Lake of Kel’Theril
(53,42)

There are tons of level 54-55 ghosts around this lake. (Suffering/Anguished Highborne, etc.) These ghosts are pretty weak, drop 2-8 silver, a lot of green items and even have a tiny change of dropping epics. Random chests also spawn on this area. The lake is often heavily farmed but other than that it’s a great farming spot.

Also, a weekly water elemental invasion also takes place around the lake. It goes on until the boss, Princess Tempestria is slain. The elementals have a good drop rate for Essence of Water and the boss drops good very valuable blue items like Ace of Elementals. You’ve better group up for the boss though, soloing her isn’t impossible but still pretty hard to do.

Cobalt Dragons
(57,50)

South East from the Lake of Kel’Theril there is a cave and around that cave there are a lot of Cobalt Dragons which are level 56-58 elites. The Cobalt Mageweavers/Scalebanes/Cobalt Wyrmkins on this area have a tiny change (Something like 1/1000) of dropping a a [Mature Blue Dragon Sinew]. Getting this item is hard work but you’ll be greatly rewarded if you succeed because Hunters need this items for a quest to get the epic quiver [Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina] and that’s why it can sell for hundreds of gold.

As a bonus Cobalt Mageweavers also have a pretty high 1.7% drop rate for [Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion]. Guilds need this potion for AQ so you’ll be able to sell it for a pretty nice amount of gold if you can find the right buyer. Of course most elites also drop a lot of valuable green and blue items and Cobalt Dragons are no exception.

Frostmaul Giants

Frostmaul Giants are down in the Frostwhisper Gorge which is in South from Everlook. These guys are level 59-60 elites so they are pretty tough but they have a 2% drop rate for [Recipe: Greater Frost Protection Potion] which makes them worth farming for. The recipe can very well sell for something like 50 gold. As said already, these guys aren’t easy so it won’t hurt to be a Hunter or a Warlock when soloing them.

Darkwhisper Gorge
(60,75)

Darkwhisper Gorge is South from Everlook, all the way to bottom of the map of Winterspring. The demons (Hederine Slayer/Intiate) there are level 60 Elites so you’ve better group up before going there. What makes this place lucrative is that the demons have almost 1% drop rate for Eye of Shadow which is a very high value item (can sell for over 200 gold). You’ll also get tons of Runecloth, Felcloth and green items.

FELWOOD
********

Angerclaw Maulers
(37,43)

Angerclaw Mauler bears are all over Felwood but there is a particularly good grinding spot for them at (37,43) which is North and a bit East from Bloodvenom Post (Horde camp). There are about 15 Angerclaw Maulers near that spot which can be killed relatively quickly for a lot of gray vendor trash drops. The trick is that when you combine those with
the Thick Leather and Rugged Leather that can be skinned off these guys, you’ll earn gold surprisingly fast.

Jadefire Run
(41,19)

Jadefire Run in Northern Felwood is a great place to farm tons of Runecloth and some Felcloth which is very valuable. The mobs on that area are level 52-53 Satyrs (Jadefire Betrayer/Trickster/etc) which are pretty easy to kill. This is a great farming spot as long as there isn’t too much competition.

WESTERN PLAGUELANDS
********************

Felstone field
(36,57)

Felstone field is first of the fields when you come from Bulwark. The great thing about this place is that there are tons of weak undead mobs who drop a lot of Runecloth. The respawn rate is also high so you won’t have any downtime unless there are other farmers competing with you.

Hearthglen
(45,16)

Hearhglen is the Scarlet city in Northern Western Plaguelands. There are relatively easy to kill level 53-56 Elites (Scarlet Priest/Sentinel/Paladin/etc) all over Hearthglen. These guys have a high drop rate for Runecloth but what really makes them worth farming are the misc green/blue/epic items they sometimes drop.

There is also a tower (55,25) which you’ll pass on your way to Hearthglen. The tower is usually heavily farmed for [Formula: Enchant Weapon - Crusader] because Scarlet Spellbinder is the only unit in the game to drop that formula and there are 7 of those in the tower. This formula is very valuable and can sell for 200+ gold. I’d recommend anyone who ever gets a change to farm these guys without competition to do so.

Decaying Horrors and Rotting Behemoths

You’ll find Decaying Horrors and Rotting Behemoths near and inside The Weeping Cave in Eastern part of WPL. These are just regular level 55-57 mobs with a high drop rate for [Recipe: Greater Nature Protection Potion]. You get one recipe for about ever 100 kills and it can sell for as much as 100 gold so this looks like a pretty good deal to me.

EASTERN PLAGUELANDS
*******************

Mossflayer Zombies
(28,85)

Mossflayer Zombies reside in The Undercroft which is in the Southwestern corner of EPL. These guys drop are nothing too special except for being weak, respawning quickly and dropping a lot of silver and Runecloth. This is a good place to farm if there is too much competition over the other farming spots.

Plaguebats

You’ll have no problem finding Plaguebats. They’re all over the Southern part of EPL. Farming these guys is worth it especially during the Darkmoon Faire because Plaguebats have a high drop rate for Evil Bat Eyes which are required for a Darkmoon Faire quest. On some cases Evil Bat Eyes can sell for as much as 2 gold a piece. Of course you’ll also make a lot of gold selling all the vendor trash items and skinning the corpses of these guys.

Larval Acids

Carrion Grubs and Carrion Devourers are also the kind of mobs you’ll see all over the place in EPL. These guys have a high drop rate for Larval Acid which can sell for as much as 7 gold so killing all the Carrion mobs you encounter might not be a bad idea.

Limited Supply Recipe/Pattern Profit

Reselling limited supply recipes is one of the easiest ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. This is especially true for newbies because doing it takes nothing more than knowledge on where to find the recipe and some time. Also when ever you travel nearby one of these limited recipe vendors it might be a good idea to check if he has the recipe on stock and buy the recipe. Then you should create a low level character on a city with an Auction House and mail your recipes/other sellable items to that character. That makes selling those item much faster than having to travel to a city every time you want to auction off something.

The reason why these items sell so well in the Auction House is that you only get them from one or two vendors and many people are too lazy to figure out who and where these vendors are. This is kind of proven by the fact that you can buy recipes from a vendor in a city and then auction them off in the AH of the same city for a big profit. Many people are also ready to pay so that they can save time by not having to do a trip to the vendor.

Btw, it makes no sense posting multiple copies of the same limited recipe at the same time in the AH. That will just drive the prices down so you’re better off selling your limited recipes one-by-one.

STORMWIND

Darian Singh in Mage Quarter SW
Farming Shadowfang Keep

Shadowfang Keep is the best source for level 19 twink gear. These items sell for pretty high prices because rich high level players buy them for their low level ‘twink’ characters so that they can dominate the low level battlegrounds. Pretty much any trash mob inside Shadowfang Keep can drop one of these items but the drop rates aren’t very high. Some people have estimated that on average you get one BoE blue item every five SFK runs.

Grinding these trash mobs (around level 20 elites) is really easy as a higher level character. Another way to profit from these twink items is to find newbies doing Shadowfang Keep runs who don’t realize how much these twink items can be worth.

Twink items dropped by SFK mobs:

Assasin’s Blade is the best dagger for level 19 Rogues. With a Fiery or a Crusader enchant it also becomes a good dagger for level 20-29 twinks. This is a very high demand twink item which should easily sell for over 100 gold. If there are tons of Rogue twinks on your server it might sell for over 500 gold. On average you get one of these every 85 SFK runs.

Shadowfang is the best level 19 one-handed sword which makes it another great Rogue twink weapon. Toughest guys want to have a Shadowfang in the main hand and a Assasin’s Blade in the offhand. On average you get one Shadowfang every 100 SFK runs.

Night Reaver is a great two-handed axe for level 18 Warriors. Not worth as much as the Rogue twink gear above but might sell for something like 50+ gold if you’re lucky.

Witching Stave is great for level 17 Mages/Warlocks/Priests.

Black Malice also drops in SFK. It’s a two-handed mace for level 16 Warriors. Doesn’t sell for nearly as much as any of the above items though.

Guillotine Axe is a good level 18 axe for Hunters.

Glove: I like farming SFK. Soloing you get 10-20 green items, 3-5 blue items, and two loads of vendor trash. Here is how I do it. Set hearth to UC, buy scrolls from the book dealer in the Magic quarter, buy Superior Armor and Superior Health potions from auction. Fly to Selpulcher, run to SFK and start. I carry 4 empty 14 slot bags and get to the dining room usually before they fill up.

I kill everything, leave the chests for last (after Arugal), and SKIN everything that is skinable. When the bags get full I hearth to UC, vendor trash and soulbound, mail usuable stuff to guildies, auction the rest of the blues and greens and the skins. Fly back to Selpulcher, run to UC, and begin the second half.

The sticky spots for me are the horses (3 attack at once). You only get skins, an occasional hoof, or a unique 10 slot bag from them.

Lupine Horrors who spawn Delusions and the wolfmaster who spawns a pet henchie.

Kill the horrors as quick as you can and first along with delusions and then any werewolfs.

If you have a low aggro circle try going straight to the wolfmaster first and take out him and his henchie. You can then heal and take out the horror and the rest of the pack who attack you all at once. If you kill the pack first as soon as the last dog dies the wolfmaster runs to the bottom of the stairs or attacks if it hits your circle not giving you a chance to heal. Then he spawns his pet and it becomes sticky.

Where you have to kill the big boss dog (I forget his name) as soon as he dies 4 elementals spawn.

Arugal is usually cake. If he teleports use a heal or bandage and then go after him.

After Arugal go back and empty the chests and you're done. Richer, friendly, more knowledgeable, and hopefully you have gotten twink blue to sell (I usually get me from the guards on the walkway.)

The Significant Figures

Welcome to our blog.. we hope you enjoy it and find some useful information.

Glove
